It's Wednesday again and here are your tools for family worship!...
Prayer in the Garden…Story Time with Pastor Darrin...
“When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.’ And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.” Luke 2:15 ...
Half of the Nepal Mission Team is home to the Ohio Valley and half of the team is still very much on the ground serving in Nepal. While we await word from Jumla and outlying regions, the Children's Team shares more of their experiences with the children of Pokhara....
On Sunday, our team traveled to the BMDMI Good Shepherd Children's home, near to the Mission Home. They had the priviledge of visiting with the children, and then attending a worship service with them. The children's home presently houses 97 children, and they are expecting five or six more to arrive this week. If you are interested in learning more about this outreach, pl...Keep Reading
This is our hard-working medical team. They saw 97 patients on Wednesday (half day of clinic on the day they arrived), 579 patients on Thursday, 400 patients on Friday, and 150 patients on Saturday. That is a grand total of 1,226 patients in less than four days! (Plus one more; story below!) This is the pharmacy team who fulfilled any perscriptions for all of the pati...Keep Reading
The second full day in Maraita for our team began bright and early (before 5am!), and was another hot and busy one. So busy, in fact, that they ended the clinic early because all of the patients had been seen! The pharmacy ran very low on supplies, and the clothing closet is almost empty. Our team had the priviledge of leading two ladies to Christ while they were waiting...Keep Reading
Our team had a very busy and successful day on Thursday, their first full day in Maraita. Running on little sleep (due to leaky roofs, barking dogs, fighting dogs, mooing cows, and roosters!), our team was up bright and early for breakfast and devotions. After that, their busy day began! The people came, and long lines formed to get into the clinics all day. Before seei...Keep Reading
Our team left FBC in the wee morning hours on Tuesday, and traveled to the airport to begin their journey to Maraita, Honduras. Their early flight from Pittsburgh took them to Atlanta, where they had a brief layover--made a bit longer by a delay for replacement parts on the plane after they were already boarded. Eventually, they were in the air, and arrived in Tegu...Keep Reading

Your prayers are powerful, important, and much appreciated! Thank you for sending and supporting our shepherds across the globe for His glory. Their work has been good, and their time well-spent. It is with full and happy hearts that our team is beginning their journey back toward Wheeling today. Although they are excited and "very ready" to return home, they were also sad to tell their hosts goodbye. Our team enjoyed a pancake breakfast with them in their home this morning, and then spent time having devotions, singing, and praying together. Please continue to pra...Keep Reading
Our team has completed the first stretch of their journey back toward home! They left the village early this morning, and are in Kathmandu now. When they awoke this morning, the fog lifted, and they had spectacular views of the mountains from their campsite. The village leader and his mother presented them with special thank yous as they left. And, as for the ride back ...Keep Reading
Our team has finished their teaching, and is feeling very blessed! Teaching was good, and very appreciated. They spent much time teaching on the HS, and "the men went on and on about how much better they understand now." "The [leaders] and their wives thanked us time and time again for coming the long way to share...with them." Praise! From Gretchen: "The kids from th...Keep Reading
Our team has had a very blessed Sunday! They are doing well, and have finished their teachings for today. Gretchen tells me that they were surprised at how many ladies came for their ladies conference, and that it seemed to go well. She and Darlene were both able to teach, and the ladies met with them afterward for prayer. While teaching, all of the following invol...Keep Reading
Our team has just finished their first day of teaching, and what a day it has been! They are encouraged and very positive. They began their day with a hike down the mountain from their campsite to hold services, and followed with teaching by the men of the team. During services, the men sit on one side, and the women on the other. As you can see from the photos, attendan...Keep Reading
Early this morning (last night, Wheeling time), our team departed from Kathmandu, and started their journey to the village. The ride was rough, but they were able to see many towns and villages as they wound up and down the mountains. Our team's 6 hour long van ride was cut a bit short, as the roads were impassable, so they had to hike the last 3/4 of a mile on fo...Keep Reading
Our team has made it to Kathmandu, Nepal! They left Qatar early this morning (last night, Wheeling time). Gretchen reports that they were feeling wonderfully refreshed after sleeping, showering, coffee, and some "really good muffins!" Praise God for their safe arrival and answered prayers. When they arrived, they had all ten bags of gear and gifts (another answered pr...Keep Reading
Our team has had quite the day/night since I last updated! Last night around midnight (our time), they should have been finishing their 13 hour flight by landing in Doha, Qatar to catch their final flight into Nepal. However, after two failed attempts to land in a lightening storm, they were rerouted to an airport in Bahrain (an island in the Persian Gulf). After landing,...Keep Reading
Our team departed from Wheeling in the early morning hours today. Their first flight from Pittsburgh was short and uneventful (always a good thing in the air!). The next leg of their journey is the lengthy one--scheduled for over 13 hours in the air! Please keep our team and their flight crew in prayer throughout your day today. They are scheduled to leave a little after...Keep Reading
