A Prayer for Daniel

Creator of All,

One of your children is in need of repair--one who is fragile and vulnerable.

You tell us we are fearfully and wonderfully made in our mother's wombs, and we praise you for making this beloved infant.

Provide the means, O Christ.

Guide the hands of nurses, physicians, surgeons, and attendants--of any who care for this baby. 

Give discernment to diagnose and skill to remedy.

Bless the caregivers, and through them offer extraordinary comfort to this child and to his parents. Let his care be effective, bringing healing and health.

Quell the restlessness of his loved ones as they (and as we) wait and pray.    Amen
