Drawing to a close...
On Sunday, our team traveled to the BMDMI Good Shepherd Children's home, near to the Mission Home. They had the priviledge of visiting with the children, and then attending a worship service with them. The children's home presently houses 97 children, and they are expecting five or six more to arrive this week. If you are interested in learning more about this outreach, please visit: http://gsch.bmdmi.org/
Pictured with Courtney ^ is the little girl for whom she cared when she arrived at GSCH as an infant. What a beautiful reunion!
On Monday, our team had a much-deserved relaxing day! They visited the Valley of the Angels to do some shopping in the morning with some of their translators and missionaries for the week. Their afternoon in Tegucigalpa was spent visiting a pewter factory, followed by a coffee break and more shopping.
The team had their last Honduran dinner for the week at a restaurant called El Patio with some of the BMDMI missionaries and doctors with whom they worked. A fun atmosphere, good company, and delicious food made for an enjoyable evening for all!
FBC, thank you so much for your faithful prayers throughout this trip. By His grace, our team has accomplished much for His glory! Please continue to pray for our team as they journey back home tomorrow. After such a full week, they are eager to get back to their homes (without scorpians or tarantulas!), their own beds (with real mattresses!), and their families. Our team is scheduled to fly out of Tegucigalpa at 1:15pm (3:15pm Wheeling time), and to arrive in Pittsburgh around 11:30pm.
Our team has requested prayer for:
-safety during their trip home
-the church in Maraita
-the BMDMI missionaries in Honduras
And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" Romans 10:15
