On Home Soil
Good Morning FBC Family!
Your Nepal Team is on the ground in Philadelphia going through customs as this update is typed at 7:30 am. At 10:00 they board their very last flight and are to land in Pittsburgh around 11:30 am (our time AND their time...yay!).
They were able to manage the very short time available to get through two security checks and make the connecting flight in Qatar last night and made the plane with a little time to spare.
And now they are back in their home country.
Later this morning, one silver minivan, one grey sedan, and one big blue truck will leave for Pittsburgh to greet the team and bring them home to Wheeling.
Our prayer focus for today is pretty straight forward:
- Safety as the team finishes the last miles of the trip.
- Health and rest as they re-enter life at home.
- Smooth transition from the mission field to home and work.
- That our team would be able to effectively communicate the meaning and value of the trip in the days and weeks to come to their church family and to ANYONE who will attend to their stories.
Thank you for your prayers and your support and the sharing of your hearts and attentions to this important mission. The work was fulfilling and necessary and worthwhile and you were a faithful and vital part of Team Nepal.
"The concern for world evangelization is not something tacked on to a man's personal Christianity, which he may take or leave as he chooses. It is rooted in the character of the God who has come to us in Christ Jesus. Thus, it can never be the province of a few enthusiasts, a sideline or a specialty of those who happen to have a bent that way. It is the distinctive mark of being a Christian." – James S. Stewart
