Wednesday Worship for Kids! {5/13/20}

Wednesday Kidsblank Blocks.001

Happy Wednesday everyone! Let's begin with a fun song from the Getty's...

Now for our new catechism question for the week...last week's was a big one, but worth all of your hard work. This week we are going to cover the next four questions. FOUR?!?! Yes indeed! These questions summarize all of the work you did last week. Happily, the song is a catchy one and I'm sure you'll have it learned quickly. Here we go!

Accompanying Scripture:

James 2:8

If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.

Last week's Question and Answer for your review:

Here's a review for the rest of the questions...

Question 1: What is our only hope in life and death?

Answer: That we are not our own but belong to God.

Question 2: What is God?

Answer: God is the creator of everyone and everything.

Question 3: How many persons are there in God?

Answer: There are three persons in one God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Question 4: How and why did God create us?

Answer: God created us male and female in his own image to glorify him.

Question 5: What else did God create?

Answer: God created all things, and all his creation was very good.

Question 6: How can we glorify God?

Answer: We glorify God by enjoying him, loving him, trusting him, and by obeying his will, commands, and law.

Question 7: What does the law of God require?

Answer: That we love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and love our neighbor as ourselves.

Prayer

Lord of All Truth, help us to reflect your goodness in word and deed. You know all things. Nothing is hidden from you. You give good gifts and withhold no good thing from your children. May your truth be on our lips and contentment be in our hearts. Amen.

This Sunday we will be learning a new song with our church family. YOU get to learn it before everyone else! I bet you will discover that the words seem familiar to you....(hint: see catechism question and answer #1)!

And a fun one to finish and a little bonus at the end of that...

Bonus (for making it all the way to the end =-):

This is from a "few" years ago during catechism at The Wright House...
