The Path of Blessing

May 31, 2026 Preacher: Darrin Wright Series: Psalm 119 Summer 2026

Scripture: Psalm 119:1–8

Text Psalm 119:1-8
Series Walking in the Word
Summary The Path of Blessing from Psalm 119:1–8 teaches that true happiness is not found in wealth, success, pleasure, or self-discovery, but in knowing God and walking in His Word. The psalmist shows that the blessed life is marked by sincere, steadfast, and single-minded devotion to God. This does not mean sinless perfection, but a life whose direction keeps returning to God after stumbling. The sermon also emphasizes that obedience to God’s Word leads away from shame and regret and toward lasting joy, freedom, and worship. In every season, whether joy or sorrow, certainty or confusion, the path of blessing is rooted in an unchanging God and His unchanging Word.
