FBC Wheeling Kids exists to partner with families to teach the next generation the glorious works of God so that they may be transformed by His wonderful grace and glorify Him.
What to Expect:
From infants to age 11, children can expect to be taught from the Word of God in a loving and safe environment. There are three ways for your children to participate in the life of the church.
- Sunday Morning Equipping Hour: 9:00am
- Equipping Hour at 9:00am - This is a designated hour where children will be taught from the Scriptures.
- Sunday Morning Worship Service: 10:00am
- Worship Service at 10:00am - Our desire is for families to worship together and for children to sit under the power of preaching which has power to save. Children's pages and sermon notebooks are provided to help children stay engaged with the sermon. Nursery and child care for ages 0-5 is provided during the worship service if needed.
- Mid-Week Program 6:00-7:30pm
- Adventure Club: This program takes place during the school year on Wednesday evenings and focuses on teaching children ages 2-11 systematic theology through Bible lessons, scripture memory and singing.
- Summer program: Our summer program typically runs for 12-13 weeks. We focus on teaching the children fundamentals of the Christian faith through catechisms and various bible centered curriculum.
Age Groups:
- For consistency and age appropriate teaching, classes are determined by age as of September 30th of the previous year.
- Children will be promoted by age once a year in September. This allows each child to enjoy all the summer activities designed for their age group.

- "Nursery" Age 0-1
- "Bible Buddies" Age 2-3

Annual Events:
Psalm 78:5-7
"He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments"
