Another busy day!
The second full day in Maraita for our team began bright and early (before 5am!), and was another hot and busy one. So busy, in fact, that they ended the clinic early because all of the patients had been seen! The pharmacy ran very low on supplies, and the clothing closet is almost empty. Our team had the priviledge of leading two ladies to Christ while they were waiting at the clinic. Praise God!
Praise the Lord for a job done well and efficiently by our team! Since they still have one more full day in the village, it seems that God is the only one who knows exactly what plans are in store for Saturday.
Rick checking out Pastor Manuel's motorcycle. Pastor Manuel uses it to deliver his ice cream, as well as to take his church members who live far away to their homes. Also, apparently, to shuttle about mission team members. :)
After another evening thunderstorm, Kenny preached in the evening service about wives, using scripture from Ephesians 5. The service was the best attended evening service yet, though there were a lot of distractions happening around the tent. Please continue to pray for the hearts of the people of Maraita to be open and willing to accept the good news that our team is sharing. Please pray for our team to continue to serve willingly and cheerfully, even when they're tired. Thank you for sending, loving, and praying, FBC.
Our team has specifically requested prayer for:
-sun and good weather
-the pastors and services on Saturday
-continued health and safety for each of the team members
-good rest, and endurance to finish the trip well
-the people of Maraita
-that the water pipes are repaired soon, and that water is restored (for showering and bathrooms)
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:18
